Pellerin, Martin

Arrested January 23, 2007

Last night, Sûreté du Québec police officers proceeded with the arrest of Martin Pellerin. This individual was among the 10 most wanted criminals in Quebec. The police investigation conducted by the investigators of the Regional Investigation Bureau of the Montreal–Laval–Laurentides–Lanaudière district led to Mr. Pellerin’s arrest at approximately 8:30 p.m. in a residence on Rue des Chasseurs in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts.

Martin Pellerin had been wanted since July 14, 2000, for escaping from the Montée Saint-François Institution in Laval. He was serving a five-year sentence for attempted murder and possession of narcotics.

A photograph and the description of this man are still available on the Quebec’s 10 Most Wanted Criminals website. This site was inspired by the FBI’s approach which aims to increase the visibility of criminal fugitives and facilitate their arrest. Members of the public should not attempt to apprehend these individuals, as they may be armed and dangerous, but can provide information on them by calling 1 800 659-4264.
