On February 3, 2008, police officers arrested Kevin Smith and Patrick James Wallace in an apartment in Rock Forest, in Estrie. They had been wanted since their escape from Montée Saint-François penitentiary in Laval, on October 9, 2007. The fugitives were arrested following the theft of a snowmobile perpetrated in Sawyerville in the evening of February 2, 2008.
